Can we find out if she's really pregnant?

This is a bit of a strange one but then to be honest my whole life has seemed a bit Jeremy Kyle for the last few months!

My husband and I seperated a little while ago, very amicably he's still my best friend we just were struggling as a couple, he found someone else but it turns out she's a bit of a fruit loop. Lots of nasty stuff has gone on but she has claimed she is pregnant. After weeks of struggling with this and the knowledge that even if she is he may not be the father, he has been told today that she has told people she lost the baby but is still stringing him along constantly throwing in comments like 'you'll never see this baby'.

I just need to know is there any legal way he can find out the truth and discover if she really is pregnant or not?

Thank you :)

    I very much doubt it.

The only reliable ways I can think of to find out the truth are: get somebody to disclose her medical records; or make her take a pregnancy test. Hopefully neither of those things are going to happen without her consent. Other than to wait 9 months, I can't see a way to find out for sure - sorry.

Short of pinning her down, and forcing her to pee on a stick, I suggest you monitor her closely for 9 months.

I presume he *could* be the father?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It's one of the oldest tricks in the books by fruitloop exes this isn't it? Hopefully she was never pregnant, it would be preferable to actually losing a baby. :(

You'll only know if someone can access her medical records or waiting to see if she has a baby.

He's got her to take a test which came back negative and he thought it was all over but she says she's had bloods done at the doctors and now, as time has gone on, a scan but she has offered no proof. A member of her family has today told him that she was but she lost the baby but to be honest with all the stories she has told he has no idea what is true and what's not anymore.

It's unlikely a pee on a stick test would come back negative if she was pregnant. Where's the scan photo, I'm presuming she won't let your ex see that for a silly reason though....? ;)

If someone was to access her medical records they would be in one heck of a lot of trouble

I hope no one would ever consider doing something like that!

You do not need to know whether she is pregnant. You only need to know if she gives birth. Otherwise, it does not matter. So be patient.

Thank you all for replying believe me over the last few months there are so many times I nearly posted on here about things that have gone on but felt an idiot cos it all sounds so bizarre.
I agree I so hope she was never pregnant and hasn't lost the baby because I wouldn't wish that on anyone but the things she has put him through is so cruel it's nearly destroyed him.
