Who has the right over the email address?

Hi I worked self employed for a small business for 7 months last year and during that time for ease we set up a google mail account with my personal name and his business name in the title. There was no other discussions other than him telling me to change the password to something I would remember easily. It was set that emails sent to his business email, a copy would also be sent to my email. I alerted him when I finished working with him that he needed to do close down the email.
Last week I was made aware that this email is still in use, and since I know this man is involved in dodgy business practices Im concerned my name is still associated with this.
Do I have the right to close this account myself? I have already changed the password, but I want this closed as soon as possible so I have no further association with him or his business?

If you can access it, then you can close it.
However, if you have already changed the password, then he can't access it anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop

So you are getting a copy of all of his emails? This is nothing to do with the google mail address, but a rule on his emails that automatically forwards emails to you. I'd start bouncing them back to him until he removes the rule.Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0
