KLM flight delay

I was due to travel on a KLM flight from Glasgow to Munich via Amsterdam in February 2007 but while we were waiting at the gate a baggage vehicle got wedged under the wing. We were booked onto a flight from Edinburgh the following morning and overnight accommodation and travel to Edinburgh were covered but we lost a day of our holiday. Since this was 6 years ago the only record I have a bank statement with the flights showing as being paid. Since I am unsure of the exact date (to within a day or two) of the flight and dont have any record apart from proof of purchase does anyone have any suggestions on how to claim compensation?

You can claim but as it is more than 6 years ago if the airline says no, you cannot follow up with court action.
There is a KLM thread that you should have posted this in!0
