Cancelled flight - possibly Thomas Cook but flight checker shows Velvet Sky?

I am looking for a little help/assistance if possible.
I was due to be on a return flight from Las Palmas to Glasgow on the 25th June 2005 but it was cancelled and we were told that we could either stay at the airport or go back to our accommodation and try get a room with a view to claiming compensation later on. I believe that I flew with Thomas Cook or Thomson Airlines but when I check the flight checker thing advertised it is coming up with a flight called Velvet Sky (VZ). The website confirms the flight was delayed by 848 minutes which is just over 14 hours.
I have tried googling Velvet Sky but it is telling me its a South African company - I am baffled. Can anyone help me locate this company?
Also, I have checked back all my old emails from 2005 and dont seem to have proof of purchase, is there any way that I can try and obtain this from another source. Unfortunately I think I have changed banks since then :-(
Any help or guidance would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you.

doesn't really matter, the flight was over 6 years ago!0

Fair point, but ML suggests you can claim back to 2005.
You can only claim in certain scenarios, these are the key conditions:
The flight departed on 17 February 2005 or later (more below).
The flight arrived at its destination three hours or more late (more below).[/I][/I]0 -
This should be in the Thomas Cook thread, yes you can claim back to 2005, but if the airline says no, you cannot then take them to court.
The chances of them saying yes are low as shown where other folk have tried to claim from MYT flights0
