On Tuesday the 26 March I checked in at Gatwick UK for BA 2157 flight to St Kitts ( via Antigua) due to leave at 10 20 am (GMT)

This flight eventually departed at 2 10 pm GMT due to technical troubles concerning the aircraft hydraulics (we were told )

By 3 30 pm we were back at Gatwick because of a warning light on a cargo door meaning there was concern about pressurization of the aircraft. ( this was explained to us, before we returned to Gatwick.)

Eventually the same aircraft departed Gatwick at 6 30 pm GMT landing on Antigua about 11 pm and on St Kitts 12:40 am 27 th March.

I was put to considerable inconvenience and extra expense trying to get to my home on the nearby island of Nevis at that time of the night

Gatwick is in the EU of course but both Antigua and St Kitts are definitely not of course. British Airways is of course British

Do you think I could justifiably claim for compensation ?

Well you could try asking in the BA thread rather than start yet another thread on here!
