The Continentals on my Mondeo Titanium X (11 plate) had done 26K when I swapped them before Xmas. Now have Pirelli P Zeros so we'll see how they compare.0 -
I have a 1.25 Fiesta 08 plate and took it for an mot this week. The front tyres had worn and it stated there is 0.3mm useable tread left on both. The rear tyres are fine. I decided to get it over and done with and have 2 new tyres. My car has only done 12,683 miles and I am thinking of writing to Ford as I would have expected them to last longer - the tyres that have worn are Continental. Just wondered if anyone else has had any problems with tyres on a Fiesta? Thanks in advance.
life of tyre = (rubber compound x road surface)/ 5252 x ( driving style x tyre pressure
life of tyre = how long is a pice of string
this is the same for suspension and break componates0 -

Seen that propaganda before, VBH's different driving style to suit the result required is starkly obvious.0 -
It wasnt recommended at the garage that the new tyres be fitted on the rear and the rear tyres moved to the front . . . . .0

Contis on our Aygo were also terrible. If I hadn't swapped front to back they wouldn't have made 10,000 miles.0

Mazda6 diesel estate. Fronts replaced at 38k. Rears. One replaced after a blowout at 57k, the other still going strong at 60k.
Mazda2. All still ok at 43k.
All are/were Bridgstone OEs0 -
My swap was nothing to do with safety.
I swapped the worn fronts to the back as the fronts were disappearing at such an astonishing I wanted to get rid of all the Contis, but the rears didn't have too much wear. After 12,000 all four needed changing.0 -
