Rest assured I have no intentions of removing anything! I pay per month for someone who knows what they are doing to do that for me.
I just wanted some advice on what it could be so I could be forearmed when the engineer comes round.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
an answer to the question about what happens to the pressure gauge when you run the heating might helpI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
When the boiler has lost its pressure again I will report back - its sods law that once I asked the question it hasn't happened since *rollseyes*
I am not the one who has been re-pressurising it. That is my husband and he is a bit vague on his answer.
I will try and get a definitive answer for you but until the event happens I am a bit stuck - sorry.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
I'm not talking about what your other half re-pressurises it to after it has lost pressure, i guess he puts it to 1.0 or 1.5 bar, then when the heating has been on for an hr or 2 what does the pressure gauge show ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Sorry I didnt get time to go into the loft this last weekend.
The engineer came today to see what was what. He said the expansion tank had lost some pressure and the water coming out of the pipe (which has more or less stopped) could have been a bit of grit stopping the return valve.
Anyway - he has had it all apart and cleaned and re pressurised the expansion tank and all is working well. He did go round and check all the rads and faffed with the joints in the loft and found no leaks.
Lets see what happens over the next few weeks. It is - thankfully - getting less critical for the heating to be on
Once again - thanks for all your help.Mags - who loves shopping0
