Im just going by what google and all private ad's bring up. Even an old ford brochure says they have one. We've just got a 1.4 tdci purely for the £30 year tax and for the mpg it should give us. Anything over 40mpg is a bonus to us (thats what my old scenic used to give me), though Im hoping to get 50+
I never realised my old 2001 scenic had a trip computer either until a few months of having it I acidently hit the end of the right stalk and noticed it changed on the dash, doh!
Likewise - it's certainly not a 'cool' car but I got one too (Fusion 3 1.4 diesel) because of the £30 road tax and better fuel consumption. I'm actually getting between 65 and 70mpg! Happy days!

Wow blimey that's good mpg. Will be well chuffed to get even close to that.
Ours most certainly won't be a "cool" car as its an insurance write off, it needs front and rear bumpers and passenger door and wing too. OH can only find silver ones breaking local and ours is grey, so it looks like I'll be driving a nice multi coloured one, lol. TBH I've driven much more beaten up cars and for the price we paid, we only bought it for the shell and the engine really.

Got my owner's guide out - have searched through - no mention of a fuel computer. The link below would sugest that fuel/trip?computer was only included after 2005.

Pont - thanks for that, I did think that maybe all the ads etc are refering to the facelift model, which is after 2005. Oh well least we know now. I can still work it out roughly from the mileage counter and how many litres Ive put in.

That's actually a more accurate way than a 'computer', as long as you do it right.
And that my son, is how to waft a towel!

It costs me about £55 to fill up from empty (about 40 litres) - can go for about 500 - 550 miles on a full tank.
