Need a new phone, I damaged the screen on my iPhone 4 months ago, had it replaced & the new screen is crap, it remains "live" during calls & I keep pressing mute & hold with my cheek while on calls.

I'm an apple fan & I have about 1200 songs on my phone, BUT I love Samsungs big screens. I love the screen size of the Note ll & I'm really tempted by the health & lifestyle accessories sold for the S4.

I'm really stuck between these 3 phones.

I want it simple & user friendly. I want it to work with my parrot (I have the music version so I can play songs from my iPhone via the cars speakers) & I would love a large tablet style screen.
Worried the S4 health & lifestyle accessories might be very expensive.
I'm not bothered about functions & features at all, none of that matters to me. Something simple & compatible is what I want.

HELP

I'm too-ing & fro-ing over this & getting more & more confused.

I'm on a sim only O2 contact. So free to upgrade.

My boyfriend has upgraded his 4S to a 5, if I get it unlocked I can have it. Maybe I should do this & buy a tablet!!!

    I'm an apple fan

Suggest you stick with the OS and walled garden of Apple that you know and understand .
Save you needing to learn the Android way and quirks .

Thats not saying anything against Android i am a long term Android hacker . Its just i find that users that swap from one system to another have problems as they expect X to do that instead find H does that on a different OS .

You are looking at the most featured expensive phones available yet write "I'm not bothered about functions & features at all, none of that matters to me. Something simple & compatible is what I want."

Nothing is the same as an Iphone and they come from Apple. If you swallow the Apple line, that means Iphones. I chose Android because it gave me a huge choice of handsets and tablets all on the same OS.

I agree with JJ Egan for your particular case - the only time I recall advising the Apple route. Or, if you wanted to, get a 2nd hand or cheap Android to see if you like it and can get used to the differences. If you do, keep it as a spare and then buy a Samsung. There are lots from the Ace2 right up to the Note 2 or the S4, when you can actually get one!

And, of course, you could then get a Samsung or Nexus tablet later when you have got used to Android. Far cheaper than an Ipad.

Go play with an Android first though if you are seriously considering a move from Apple. But it IS different.

All the handsets you are considering will do what you want, they are all easy to use, apparently there maybe a larger screen iphone this summer.

Take a look at the HTC ONE :)
  • I moved from iPhone 4 to a HTC One X and then a Galaxy Note (the first one) and I missed my iPhone - when the 5 came out I traded both the Android phones in.

The android is a much more open OS - which means that the customisability is endless, however I found that coming from an iPhone it was overwhelming, there's also a higher chance of installing malware (viruses etc) without meaning too.

The Apple OS, although looks dated, is fantastic as it's built for an iPhone - no other mobile phone has this OS so it's streamlined, but you do tie yourself into an eco-system - which for me is fine.

Others like freedom. The 3 phones you've mentioned are all brilliant and will do what you want.

If you are on a Sim-only, I'd unlock the 4S that way you'll keep costs down and then when the new iPhone (eventually) comes out, and if going by previous launches will be summer then September/October you can go straight to that and be up to date.

This, or get your own one repaired properly would seem the moneysaving thing to do.

I love the windows os, so easy to use and does more than the iphone 5 for a 3rd of the price
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Thing is, this is not another which phone is best thread, there are plenty of those in the past, and you have to agree they get a tad boring as a handset feature factor is an individual thing.
Ease of use? They are all easy to use, slick OS? They are all slick, never notice folk never give an example of what slick is or ease of use?
I agree the windows is good, only let down by the lack of mainstream apps .
