NSDs 9 & 10 for Friday and today (Sun).
I had hoped for one Thursday so make my 5 in a row but had to pay for a prescription. £7.85 :eek: The first time I'd paid for one in years. Since DH got his state pension in Feb they've taken his pension credit off him which means we'll be a lot worse off now. What makes it worse is that the script was for painkillers! New, one a day pk's but still!
Congratulations ETO on becoming debt free. You must feel on top of the world.
Hugs for all who need one.

However, MissE001 - you have struck a chord - my rule were any cash / card spends made excluding planned direct debits. They have since been modified so I don't count milk / petrol or boot camp but I think I do need to become stricter with myself - particularly as of late I seem to have had my spendy head on and need to stop looking for loopholes to up my tally, otherwise i'm just kidding myself.
My rules are any spending at all - even planned and budgeted - because it helps to keep me on track. I knew I had to buy DD new glasses yesterday so put petrol in the car, bought the birthday pressies and cards I needed and some shopping. I've been trying really hard to only buy things like petrol and milk etc when I need to spend anyway. Not always totally successful but I like the fact that I'm thinking about it! Anyway, Kerri, hope you get your own rules sorted so that they work for you - that's what this is all about after all :rotfl:
I'm planning NSD today....but may have visitors dropping by later so not declaring till later on. Off to tackle the ironing mountain now :cool:SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

That's what mine were when I first joined up 2 1/2yrs ago - it got my main 'problem areas' under control which were the £1 / £2 spends at lunchtime. I didn't count DD as they were budgeted for anyway. Since then I did take out petrol from the rules as I get that where it's cheaper and I'm usually only that way once a week (plus I am sure none of every have an unnecessary splurge on petrol :rotfl:) and I cut out milk from my rules because I was finding it then became an excuse to spend on other things.
Well, afternoon spent in the garden here - just a bit more tidying and planeted out some pansies - although it's v.windy here so I hope they'll be ok....and NSD #7 too :jFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi all :j,
Wrote the post and lost it... how annoying.
Anyway... Catching up with reading posts as I haven't done so for the past few days and some of you guys are doing so so well. Congratulations to ETO for being eventually debt free... I am looking forward to that day and feeling of freedom enormously. Still a long journey for me though.
Declaring a NSD #5 for Saturday... a very little spend day on Friday like on the other 2 days this week, which in a way I am angry about (situations you cannot get out of) as I felt I had to return unnecessary favours so I wouldn't be in a debt with other people.
On the other hand, a big spend day today, but for all the important items I need and I won't be going shopping until Friday.
Sooo, have a lovely evening and successful week everybody.
