I managed NSD #11 yesterday:T and am hoping for more of the same today, if I can stay away from the shops.:o I know I will have a spendy day tomorrow so I am going to try and keep my spending urges under control until then :o

Have a brilliant Saturday everyone

OK folks, another conundrum here. Today I have technically spent BUT I've ordered a top on the internet to replace one I bought that has a pull in (original top counted as a spend day) PLUS I ordered some trousers at the same time to try instead of some that are going to be returned as the cut isn't right - also original order counted as a spend. Soooo, do I get to count today as a NSD please? :o

Okay, so I am confused :o

The things you ordered were to replace some things that you have returned?????? And you counted the day that you bought the original things as a spend day???? Was that all you spent on that spend day???? Because if it was and you sent the things back that you bought then that cancels out the spend for that day and that day becomes an NSD :T but not yesterday because you bought the things again................................

oh heck, I'm even more confused now :rotfl:

  • Busy week this week so haven't updated in a while. Still it's also meant I haven't had time to spend any money!

NSDs for Tues, Weds, Thur & Friday makes it 12 NSDs and another 6 in a row.:j

It's a rare day off today so may have a little treat today if I can bring myself to part with any cash!

Another Kerri conundrum....always fun to try and work out :). So.....I would say that if the replacements cost no more than the items returned, you could technically count the day as NSD.

I have to say I'm very strict with myself and don't count days where I spend anything as NSDs...with the exception of DDs. I've got them coming out of my account just about every day of the month so would have no NSDs if I counted them - and I need the motivation :D

I was too tired to post last night to say I'm up at #9 and managed 6-in-a-row :j :j

I've already been for some shopping today and going to meet DD to buy her new glasses so definitely won't reach double-figures today

Anyhoo, have a great weekend NSD buddies

Well done to all on some great achievements
  • We were going to walk the dog on dartmoor today followed by a pub lunch but Devon is very wet, grey and cold dog is ancient and would prefer not to get wet so NSD 4and 2 in a row although I didn't put myself down for the in a row part of the challenge.

i reckon I should ask Martin about a weekly column :rotfl:

Freeby, the 'original' purchases had been counted as spend days, and i don't think that's all I spent on those days - or at least can't say for sure. The ordered items cost the same / less as previous spends.

However, MissE001 - you have struck a chord - my rule were any cash / card spends made excluding planned direct debits. They have since been modified so I don't count milk / petrol or boot camp but I think I do need to become stricter with myself - particularly as of late I seem to have had my spendy head on and need to stop looking for loopholes to up my tally, otherwise i'm just kidding myself.

So I'm not counting yesterday, but no plans to go out today so fingers crossed for me. Although I am thinking of keeping a t-shirt I was going to return - ordered it with something for my DM in order to get free p&p - in future I'll have to ensure when doing that the filler is something I don't like / not in my size :o

Grey and rainy here today - so much for Spring arriving.
