    Evening gang

Miserable and wet here in London :(

    NSD 6 for me today and 4 in-a-row. In a-row target met :) :j

Freeby & Spoon, thanks for updating.

It will definitely be a spend day tomorrow but hoping I can get another NSD on Sunday and then maybe another in-a-row next week.

Am shattered after another busy week at work but the good news is I have Monday off but the bad news is *whispers* (I will be another year older, gulp) so a nice long weekend.

Have a good evening and weekend.

Lesson learnt from 2012: I cannot be trusted to credit card stooze!

  • Evening everyone. Its Friday :j:j:j

I am off on Monday and Tuesday as well so looking forward to a nice (probably spendy) long weekend!

I have nabbed NSD #8 today so am more than halfway to target before we are halfway through the month :D

    Have a nice weekend everybody!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins
  • Another one for me -that makes 3
No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries: July stash 72/0 INS/2 UU/0 TA
  • NSD # 3 :j finally.

We have returned the first pushchair we bought but have replaced that. And have bought our Moses basket today too. (Benefit of a joint account, I don't have to declare it as a personal spend)

It was my last day at work today, I have a few weeks annual leave then my mat leave starts. I have 5 weeks to go. :j I'm hoping to reduce spends particularly the non essentials over the next couple of months so I can save money from my pay to get me through my unpaid months.

And I'm having more of a waddle Friday than wiggle Friday. :D

    Thanks for the updates everyone.

Candlewick - have a lovely birthday weekend. :D

    Heyjude - what a good find. :j

I'm very late to the party. But I'd like to join the party please.

I would like to pledge for 1 day next week to be a NSD. For me, this means taking lunch into work and not stopping to buy anything on the way home from work to 'add' to my tea.

(Hmmm...reckon I need to stock up on chick peas...)

Kerri - thanks for reminding me. I already have the Takeaway Secret book - must dig it out and look up kebab recipe.....
Have to say, I recommend the quick chocolate cheesecake recipe from there...easy to make and soon yaffled by those you serve it to, so make sure you keep some for yourself.

Ohh thanks Nargle, I got the book to make OH the chicken kebabs as the ones local to us are a rip off and not as good as 'the old days north of the boarder' according to OH :rotfl: Unfortunately he's now off meat so will try them with quorn next time, got a telling off last time I made them as I used turkey instead of chicken (before OH went off meat...and no the two events are not related :p) and got told they were 'yukky' (in slightly less polite terms)

Will have a look at what else is in there.

OK folks, another conundrum here. Today I have technically spent BUT I've ordered a top on the internet to replace one I bought that has a pull in (original top counted as a spend day) PLUS I ordered some trousers at the same time to try instead of some that are going to be returned as the cut isn't right - also original order counted as a spend. Soooo, do I get to count today as a NSD please? :o

Sunshine and downpours here - hoping it's a nice weekend so I can stay out the shops / off the 'net and get out in the garden.

Thursday's trip to the zoo was cancelled (I was up for the best part of a couple of hours with youngest GD between 1am and 3am - she's been off colour for over a week, and finally got her appetite back in the wee small hours of the morning!), then we were late up as a result - and I woke up full of a cold :(

Did mean I managed to nab NSD #6 though, which took me to half-way to a target I thought was going to be hard to achieve this month :)

Today wasn't an NSD though.... returned the keys for the place we'd stayed at to the property owners, and settled up for the gas and electricity we'd used (all it costs me ;)). I did overpay slightly though (£30 instead of £27.50) telling them to put it into a kitty for the property (they've just shelled out for a new 3 piece suite for it, and a couple of years ago was the installation of an LPG tank and central heating).

Brought loads of groceries home (can hardly close the fridge, and have got any of the salad into it!), so it'll hopefully be a few days before I need to go shopping again :)
