Wrong flight numbers

Just watched the program about flight compensation and remembered a trip to bulgaria i did in 2008.
Slightly different scenario to the ones on the program so wondered if anyone had any advice:
My partner and I booked to travel to Bourgas and the flight number/times we were given, were for the flight to leave Bourgas at 23.50 on the 20th June, however when we reached the airport the flight number we had been given wasn't due to depart until approx 5.00 on the 21st June meaning we had a 5hr wait in the airport. At the time I was only 18 and had no idea how to go about complaining - do you think I would still be able to claim compensation for this as I didnt complain at the time. Due to the delay our lift home wasn't able to pick us up and we had to pay an additional £70 for a taxi home. I still have an email with the details i was given included.
Any advice would be appreciated!

It was the same flight number however the tickets had the time stating 23.50 which was the same as the e-mail confirmation, and so we assumed that these were correct. A flight with a different flight number but same route was scheduled to leave at the time that was printed on our ticket but we were told we had to get on the later flight.0

Which airline was it?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Yes we flew direct from Bourgas to London Gatwick with First Choice airways0

If you think you spent 5 hours extra at the airport due to FCA's administrative errors, perhaps claim from Thomson who took over FCA.
BUT read the Thomson thread first to see what is happening with other claims.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
