HELP WITH INFO? LGW to IZMIR diverted to MUNICH stay overnight at Kempinski July2007

Options
Dear Money Savers, my children and I were on a flight from LGW to Turkey (believe it was Izmir, Turkey) at the end of July/early August. The flight was diverted to Munich where we landed and remained stranded at the airport from about 2pm to 10pm without any information, when we were then directed to take rooms at the Kempinski (Airport hotel). As lovely as the hotel was, we remained at the hotel overnight and the following day - before having a complete nightmare in trying to get reconfirmed on a flight to Izmir. Maybe you remember the flight numbers - because they didn't have enough seats to transport all the passengers onwards & wanted to split a family up, sending some and leaving some behind for a later flight? I distinctly remember someone had to fly in the jump seat. MY POINT? I would like to claim compensation for this extended delay because of the new EU ruling, but I don't remember the flight numbers or dates - DO YOU? Can you help me? I'm sure there is someone that remembers this and I'd be very grateful! Thanks!
