  • Hi guys

Well DD said this would be a long road and it certainly is, we are really trying to sort this out but its not goin as well as I hoped, she says she still wants it to work and needs time for us to rekindle etc etc. I am getting more and more frustrated but am hoping, things are certainly better but not as quick as want them to move on.

We are off on holiday for 2 weeks on Sunday, will be interesting to see what happens.

    Take care

  • DD is right - as you're finding out - it really is a long road and a painful lesson in patience.

I really hope you enjoy your holiday - just concentrate on having fun, nothing else. Play crazy golf and laugh at each others poor putting skills!
  • Great news about the holiday,SW. I'm really glad you dropped in to let us know how you are as I, and I'm sure all your 'friends' on here, have been wondering where you were.

Don't forget that holidays can be difficult times in a relationship. I once read that the constant 'togetherness' involved can test even the strongest relationship and result in rows and tension:eek:. I can vouch for this from personal experience and have all the T-shirts to prove it! So please don't let your progress be derailed by any minor holiday 'hiccups'.

Please report back when you come home to let us know how you are and how things went. I'll be thinking of you.

    Take care
    Imp

We are both looking forward to getting away, and we have her friend and her kids with us as well so should be OK on that score, I dont post to often now on here as dont want people getting bored with my own probs, when they have theirs.

    Take care all

    Hi SW
Well done on sticking in there. Did you manage to sell the car? Good for you if you did. And good luck on the holiday. Maybe you can suggest to your friend that you take turns baby sitting. Ie she babysits for you and you and OH go on your own, then you baby sit for you and OH and friend go out? Get some free me time that way!

I'm sure no-one was bored with you postings. People on these boards are some of the kindest and most genuine that you'll ever come across. We all had/have problems of one sort or another and it's often thanks to the unstinting help given on here that a lot of us cope with the horrors that life keeps throwing at us. Maybe we started visiting MSE initially for financial help but money troubles are often only part of the overall problem in many cases. I know I feel better about my life because of the lovely folk on MSE.

So don't you dare desert us now when we are all rooting for you! We want something to cheer about one day:j

    Hi SW,

Pleased to hear the break went well. Ups and downs are to be expected. Its going to take time - but every little up is a BIG move in the right direction.
