    Hi everyone

It's been awhile, I've been feeling quite low with never having any money, working extreme hours and the house being burgled. I've chilled out now. I've reduced the hours I'm doing to about 35/40 hours, starting to feel more human again.

I am also in a state of shock about the poor soldier who was robbed of his life by some disgusting human beings close to where I live. I'm not so surprised by the attack, disgusting as it is, but at the sheer audacity of pride by those that did it. RIP Lee Rigby and may angels look over you and your little boy forever.

This news has made me determined to carry on, to pay my debt, to be a nurse, get my pin and go far away to places where my girls will have a nicer upbringing.

I've recently invested in a power down plug, it looks like a plug extension which you plug your tv and DVD/sky box in and when you put your tv on standby it stops the power, saving electric. It usually sells for £20 but I got off eBay for £5, at full rrp it will pay for itself in 2 years.

I'm still keeping within my £50 shopping budget, change is going in my new cash tin (well hidden from burglars this time lol).

I've received an invitation for uni assessment tests in just under 3 weeks, SCARED lol. I've asked friends and family for amazon vouchers for my birthday in June for uni books as I already know what the book list is and one less thing to worry about paying.

My place of work received a bomb threat recently and with the recent attack I will be investing in life insurance so my girls will be taken care of if anything happens. Maybe I should already have it but I've tried to keep my outgoings low while I clear this backlog of debt.

I'm also looking forward to my fast approaching car insurance renewal. I lost my no claims from being named driver on exes policy, when we split I stuck with same insurer as they agreed to give me 6 years no claims bonus instead of going elsewhere and starting with nothing. I've had to pay dearly for this £60.63 PCM x11. I intend on following martins advice to the letter to get the cost right down and using my 0% credit card to avoid interest and then cutting the card up immediately.

My target debts are my prepayment meters for gas and electric so I can move to cheaper supplier and take advantage of cashback £200/£245. Also paying mum and dad for buying a replacement ipad interest free £199/£349. In the mean time I am making minimum payments on everything else though the above will be paid by end of next week.

Xx Hope all you lovelies are doing well and saving lots of money xx

I'm so happy, my renewal quote comes in at £295 for car insurance with all the extras and a £50 excess (must be getting old lol). That's made me happy, that's half what this policy year is. Can't wait til it's time for renewal.

Feel like I'm getting back on track.

Been doing lots of extras on job no3 around the kids and its payday next Friday so that means will be able to pay mum and dad off by next Friday and all debt will have been cleared off electric meter (gas is already £0:D). Can then focus on clearing cc2 £1300.

I'm really undecided as to what to do with car and defaulted loan after cc2. I already have an isa which can only be accessed by post, I'm thinking to save everything in isa so I can clear car and loan in full whilst making minimum payments. This rental is going up for sale in 14 months, I need the money in savings in case i want to buy or to move to another rental. Really not sure what to do at the mo.

Practising lots of math ready for uni assessments in 2 weeks.

I'm getting that excited feeling when one of the debts is almost paid off. Electric debt is paid and last night there was about £7 left on gas meter debt, should be clear by end of Tuesday. Only £60 owed to Mum and Dad, have set up an automatic bank transfer for Tuesday.

Can't wait to get started on cc2 and get rid of it.

Up an at obscene time as covering out of hour phones for job3, payday Friday woooooop.

10 days to uni assessment, feeling sick with nerves. I know I passed these assessments a couple of years ago but I'm still terrified. Am building up a nice collection of books on the cheap, have all the ones I still need on amazon wish list and hoping to do well for birthday with the vouchers.

I'm also thinking about going back on happy pills, I have under active thyroid so depression can be part and parcel of it but I'm so damn miserable. Being happy is such an effort and that's not me, I'm a happy positive person and I hate being this way. Being stuck indoors makes it worse but when I get the opportunity to pop out I avoid it like the plague and make excuses. Think a doctors appointment is in order.

Bank of mum and dad for iPad £349 PAID, both prepayment meters clear of debt £245 PAID.

Now all eyes on remaining cc2 debt of £1310, bring it on.

I don't know if anyone else is fed up with the amount of junk mail they get through the door that fills up the paper recycling bin. I've got a note through the door about junkbuster.org.uk, they claim to add you to the preference lists so all the rubbish stops coming.

Not sure how good it is but worth ago.

Feels like forever since I've been on here. So I got my secondment offer and then had to go through uni process and have been offered a place. The not so good news is I'll be starting in September so I won't get a chance to pay everything off like I wanted to.

I've found it really hard to stay on track, my oldest DD has lots of social issues so she joined scouts which coincided with them going on lots of trips plus the kit that they needed. Money that could go off cc2 card but my daughter needs these experiences more to gain independence and confidence. True to mse style it's either secondhand or the cheapest and best value available.

My cc2 balance has gone up, the car started to make a horrible noise and not wanting to start, so off it went for a full service. I found a really good mechanic on netmums who was really reasonable and undercut garage by nearly half. Still cost me £500 for service and repairs.

I've tried to negotiate a reduced f&f settlement on an old loan but they won't match what I have available. Will carry on with repayments, guy on phone was really nice and said he thought now id put the offer out that in future they will come back with a counter offer.

As the house I'm renting is going up for sale next August I am concentrating on debt until Xmas and then I need to save to move. Could really do without the stress but its a disadvantage of private renting.

Hey Araboo have subscribed to your thread.

It will all come back to you, I usually have a slow morning before I get the rush of familiarity.

Am really nervous at how it's all going to balance out with finances, whether or not I get help with childcare grants. I've not got a timetable so not sure what to organise for kids, my parents help under duress.

I struggle to cope now, not enough time to do day to day things and keep up with housework. Haven't got a hope in hell when I start uni.
