    Hey everyone,

@B_M - Thank you and I am glad that you are satisfied with my response. As cashback is us giving you the commission we get it is not seen as an offer. It is not the same as a merchant advertising on their site such as 'Buy today and get £x cashback'. There are not deadlines for the merchant to pay commission to their referees of the transaction but we will always do what we can to ensure our members are as paid as soon as we are paid ourselves for the transaction that took place. Merchants do offer cashback themselves and these I am sure will be bound to the normal regulatory bodies but cashback made through commission sites on the other hand is not.

@Crabman - I am very sorry to hear this has been declined. Our Team are going to look into this further for you which we are not normally able to do with these offers. If you could relate back to your support ticket as all updates will be provided there that would be great.

@StuartHarrison - No problems at all for your AA Cashback, I am glad this has come through for you :) I can confirm you would be eligible even if you only have Free Weekend Calls and if you add the free sports package.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

    Hi, Matt,

First, thank you very much for answering my earlier questions and offering help in this thread.

Another question regarding Snap&Save: if a same product is listed in two different periods, can I claim in both? As an example, I claimed "Gatorade Sports Drink 500ml" ending 12/01. It is now listed again between 13/01 to 19/01, can I claim again?

I understand this is no issue before - but with the involvement of CheckOutSmart, I am no longer sure as they may have a different period from yours and it seems that they are doing the validation...

    Many thanks.

Not an unexpected response, but you'd be silly to state otherwise.
As previously stated, I can take my advice from TCB or from the regulatory bodies. I could spin a coin, but that equally would be silly!
All I can say is, "We'll see".
Maybe I'll waste all my time chasing up any financial issues, but every time I've wasted my time in the past, I've achieved my aim. Yes, it did have to go to the FOS a few times, but mostly the decent merchants, the ones that know about customer care, resolved matters. I have a route I like to take and I'll stick by it.
No need to respond to this post, let's just leave it a couple of more weeks. Maybe I'll not need to waste my time. ;)
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

    Hi John,

I actually asked Matt the same question a couple of pages back:

    Hope this helps :)

"Take a look at all of our exclusive cashback offers" ;)

    Lol
TCB have their own terminology for words though and their offers may not mean 'offers'.
One of the reasons for many of the financial issues (PPI etc) is because companies promoting products and services thought they could do what they wanted.
Their wallets are a lot lighter now though paying back monies and compensation, because the regulatory bodies have forced them to.

I've said it before and it's been looked into, but it's the merchants who use affiliate marketing to sell their products etc. They use managers, affiliate networks to manage their accounts and they allow affiliates to promote their products etc. It's not the reverse!
    British Gas for example:
    https://www.britishgas.co.uk/affiliates.html
Their affiliate network is Affiliate Window and their affiliates are TCB, Quidco etc. etc, etc. Not all cashback sites, MSE is probably an affiliate (agent working for them).
    Requirements

    Before you are accepted onto our affiliate programme your site(s) will be reviewed to ensure they meet our requirements. We ask that your site is live and targeting a UK-based audience with relevant content and does not have any of the following;
    • Contain any offensive, violent or pornographic content
    • Promote alcohol, tobacco, drugs or firearms
    • Contain or make reference to racist, libellous, derogatory or terrorist content.

British Gas does not tolerate any activity that breaks the terms and conditions of the programme and affiliates found doing so will be removed from the programme immediately.
I know TCB have stated they put their own estimates in for payment schedules, I'm assuming this is OK as they may have been removed.
Maybe British Gas have their own T&Cs for their affiliate marketing and I'd be surprised if they haven't.
    Time may tell.

@Matt - can you please ask someone sensible to take a look at my Hoppa claim. Last reply was a joke!
I'll not post it on here yet, but allow it to be rectified.

    Morning everyone,

I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. It's looking very wintry around these parts! Not enough to make a snowman though so here's a virtual one :snow_grin

@johnk - As far as we are aware, as long as they do start and end date are on completely different dates it is classed as a new offer. However, if you have any issues with this please do send in a Support Ticket and we will be sure to investigate the reason for the decline.

@bristolleedsfan - These are cashback offers (offers of cashback) but they are not merchant special offers :D If this was a guaranteed offer a discount code or something similar would be used and this would very much change the way our business works :)

@B_M - I have asked for another member of the Claims Team to look over your message for you and I hope they can help you further.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

Thanks Matt and a senior member (Samantha) looks like she has resolved matters, fully resolved.

Some movement now on my five financial transactions.
I have multiple transactions with financial purchases coming, or should be coming to fruition soon via TCB. I will challenge each and every one slightly after the 'estimate payment date' passes. I believe these 'estimates' are there to mislead and the amount of delays back my beliefs up.
First will be British Gas, they have 3 weeks to pay.
    (moved to confirmed)
Aviva will be the first week in February, if not paid - these are usually good though.
(now payable and the one I had most confident with, based on experiences)
Direct Line will be the middle of February, these won't get a day after the 18 weeks, as 18 weeks is well long enough!
(still at confirmed, a high risk and one of the hardest to resolve)
British Gas again, but I will give them to early April.
(Still at pending, but early still)
Nationwide, again April, probably mid April.
(Still at pending, but again, early still)

    * Hotelopia (travel related) - no movement there and still showing as pending at around half of the 'exclusive' promoted rate.
I'll watch and wait that one for another three weeks from Monday and probably have to do the work myself.
I'm hoping I don't have to share my referral fee with another referrer! :p
