Beware L A Fitness Tesco clubcard rip off

We used them for a 3-day addition to a holiday we'd booked separately, and instead of £170 it was just over £200, so we weren't too bothered as it was completely free. But if we'd booked the full 3 weeks with them, it would have cost way over the odds, and would have cancelled out any benefit gained by using clubcard vouchers.

It's the same with the other holiday places you can pay for using clubcard vouchers, they base the price on the brochure price which is normally a lot more than the online price or other price you would normally pay.

Like DVDs come with a RRP of £25, you won't find a shop which sells the latest movie at £25, it's normally 'discounted' to £10-£15.

I received a letter from Tesco saying that all my points wil be refunded on my next statement. Its a shame that L A Fitness tried to rip me off after saving Tesco Clubcard Points for months in order to join. It is now their loss. I have now joined another Gym in Kettering which only charged me £170 for the whole year!! Tesco will lose out as well thanks to L A Fitness. The £7000- £8000 a year I spend on shopping and fuel will now be spent at Morrisons or Asda. I will also be cancelling the Tesco credit card.
