Unwanted premium SMS from 3030 on T-Mobile
If anyone on T-Mobile has been bothered by unwanted premium SMSes -- horoscope, lottery, that sort of thing -- sent from shortcode 3030 there is a great read on TechCrunch (as a new user I apparently can't post the link but if you search via Google using the following construction:
site:techcrunch(dot)com t-mobile +curious
then click on the first link ('why startups are beating carriers') and read the latter portion about T-Mobile UK you'll find it.
Turns out 3030 is a T-Mobile 'service' and it looks like it's all too easy to be signed up by T-Mobile's systems without explicit consent -- and then have 40p per text deducted from your PAYG balance!
Be warned!
