Hi everyone,
Have been with tmobile for years and since they have gone over to EE, I have had nothing but problems. From speaking to people, to receiving text messages to receiving calls. And now my blackberry bold is on the blink too. I have until February 2014 when my contract is due for renewal.
I went into Tmobile/EE shop yesterday and I think I would have got more sense out of a toddler group. Unhelpful, rude and told me gonna have to deal with it unless I buy a new phone. angry is not the word.
If your not receiving the service you should be, your phone doesnt work properly and your paying monthly for the privalige surely there is a department/someone you can take this too.
Others that I know are on tmobile/orange/EE are also have problems with them. Its beyond a joke. I certainly will be leaving them when its up but I am looking for ways to possibly get a new phone/service on the contract I am now without spending out which I really am unable to do.
Thank you

Your montly payment if for the airtime service, not the handest, if it's failed you have the rights to a repair if it's in warranty.
Blackberry Bolds have a years warranty. Unless you can prove it was faulty at the time of manufacture you will have to pay for a repair.
You may be able to claim under the sale of goods act as it not being of satitfactory quality but proving that may be an issue.
Sorry it is not what you want to hear but your contract is for airtime, the fact the handset is faulty is not a reason to cancel.0 -

I'll stop you there. All that happened was the Orange and T-Mobile networks were renamed as EE. Nothing more. Just a name change on the sim. The signal issues will be seperate and a coincidence.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Hi Timetorebuild,
My daughter is facing similar problems to you. Her calls are being dropped constantly, interent is also very slow.
She is with Orange and has a Samsung s2. She has had a contract with them for over 3 years now and never had a problem with signal until the last couple of weeks. There is 8 months left on her contract.
She spoke to Orange on Monday regarding the the issues, they firstly admitted that there is a problem with the masts but have no date for a fix. Because the calls are being dropped so often she had to ring back time and time again and always speaking to another person.
Another claimed that it was her phone, but it works perfectly fine when out of the area where she lives and works. She's even borrowed my phone and the same thing with calls being dropped.
Each customer services person she spoke to had a different reason for the problem, yet all admit there is a fault with the masts but no date can be given for when it will be resolved.
They will not compensate her for her troubles, but to me they are responsible for the signal issues and therefore she is not getting a service she has paid for.
We know of another person who has an iPhone and one who has a Google phone and each time they say the fault is with that make of phone.
So basically my daughter is stuck with a contract now for the next 8 months and can not make calls without them getting dropped.
I would appreciate if someone could give me some advice please0 -

The time to fix a mast can be anything from hours to weeks, Orange have said there is a problem and they are fixing, and at the moment thats the limit of what you can do.
By all means ask for compensation, but it could be the fix is bigger than it seems (say cable theft) and it will take time to restore the service.0
