Broadband wanted!!

I would like to get broadband set up, i havent got a line rental so would like the cheapest option with around 2-3gb downloads. so not sure which is best get a bt line and provider or all in one? how does it work and which ones are the cheapest please?? thank you

don't know what your options are (is cable available, has your exchange been unbundled - sky etc). do a google for samknows and you will get some of this info if you don't know it.

for good old BT line broadband I'd recommend one of the entanet resellers (google thinkbroadband and go to the forum).

1- Check your available options on https://www.samknows.com by entering the name of your local town exchange, usually it is ADSL through BT phoneline, or DSL through cable operators (if available). For ADSL the further you live from the exchange the lower your access speed will be (typical range is from 512kbps to 8Mbps)

2- See what the providers (ISP) offer on https://www.thinkbroadband.com where you can compare their past performance. You can also browse the forums on that site and also on MSE to check for any known problems with ISPs.

3- You can sign up for a line + broadband package (& also mobile) if you wish with providers such as Vodafone, Orange, TalkTalk.
