Tesco Clubcard Voucher Exchange Rules PLEASE !!!

I currently have some vouchers with Tesco which was transferred from my rewards from Top Cash Back site.

My question is does anyone have any experience of potential problems , as I understand for some groups of hotels translates to every £10 is £30 in vouchers, seems good to me what's the catch ?

In particular is holiday inn express included in this deal ?
There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:

I've no personal experience, but from other past posts on this site I believe the main issue is that the hotels in question will generally charge the full 'rack rate' if you book them using the vouchers - so for example, you could not take advantage of the '2-4-1' offers that you often get with Holiday Inn.

    for example;

They will also have their allocation of 'Tesco' vacancies, so although their website may be showing availability, it doesn't follow that there will be a room available if you are paying with deals!

I started a thread on this a week or so back. In the end I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth using the vouchers on a hotel stay and went for cottages 4 you instead. £30 of vouchers gets you a £100 discount on standard prices, not inflated prices like when booking a hotel.
  • The catch is my £60 worth of vouchers that should have offered at £180 discount actually only gave a £56 discount.

It's a con and having tried to complain in writing I was basically told to 'go away'

    Hotel Sagitario, Cala Blanca,Menorca

Cost when booked directly throughCosmos website : £1106.58

Price when booked throughClubcard website : £1230.58

    Saving ( when contributing £60 ofClubcard vouchers ) : £180.00

    Cost using Clubcard vouchers :£1050.58

Actual saving when using £60 of Clubcard vouchers : £56.00

Thanks to everyone for the helpful posts above.

I am thinking about obtaining Rewards vouchers for Hilton Hotels and I am wondering if this is likely to be worthwhile.

Has anyone on MSE done this and would you be kind enough to give me some idea or the Rewards charges as opposed to the normal pre-booking rate.

    Any help apreciated and TIA>

Hi. With hilton there is a code you can use (cant remember it, but it's on the clubcard website) so when you put in it will give you the tesco price.
I was just browsing a few weeks ago for two nights in london in february half term weekend next year. The price i got was just under £600:eek: they have got to be kidding:mad:
The non tesco price was nearly £200 cheaper!
I decided to use my rewards towards a holiday instead. £165 in vouchers will get me a week in france or spain with thomson al fresco if i book early enough.
I'm not sure if all rewards are so inflated for hotels, but i certainly wont be using hilton with clubcard deals any time soon!

One of the problems I have found in the past is finding out exactly when they have Tesco rooms available.

When I have tried to book in the past I had to keep giving them dates for them to check for availablity, I asked if they could just tell me but they could not.
