I didn't even know aScottishBloke had left! I'm just an "ordinary" member of HUKD who posts deals now and then and comments, trying to be helpful and even amusing (I think so, anyway). I know HUKD has its trolls like any forum and I've seen members make allegations about darker dealings on Misc but didn't pay them much heed.

The only contact I ever had with ASB was when [personal details removed by MSE Forum Team] "mysteriously" pulled posts of mine (one of which was a John Lennon-branded baby bottle/dummies in Poundland! I made a passing comment saying I thought it was odd to use him on baby products but nothing scandalous). They were deleted and [personal details removed by MSE Forum Team] was quite rude in his responses...no idea why. Storm in a teacup stuff that I didn't pay too much attention to, though I still pull a face when I see [personal details removed by MSE Forum Team] posts.

This is quite shocking and deserves a wider audience. I sent this thread and the dealselecta links to a few people I know are on Quidco, earlier.

Why do you reckon they removed that offer though? Didn't want to upset paid competition?

I've no idea. Maybe he took my post personally (?) as there was someone being a bit cheeky on the thread but I wasn't joining in or quoting anyone. I assume he loves the Beatles/Lennon and other pop culture-type things from the posts he makes but to delete a post because he thought I was being flippant or offensive to a childhood hero is silly. My assumptions might be wildly wrong and maybe he was just having a bad day.

It was only about Poundland (and Poundland posts appear on HUKD all the time, sometimes things every PL shopper knows, and some more useful, obscure stuff) so it's not about competition.

It's a shame names got edited out. I can understand that it's a "He said, she said" situation on forums but the story wasn't even exactly that outrageous!!

I kept the PMs between myself and "that mod" for years too. Shame I didn't still have them. As a rather mild-mannered and well-behaved forum member (talking about HUKD), I felt it was much too heavy-handed.
