China Southern is fine and will get him there safely, but personally I would pay the extra to fly on Malaysian for excellent food and in-flight entertainment.

I would imagine that those prices exclude taxes and other add-ons, so the final amount payable will be a good deal more.
  • Hello

This link will send you to a "trip advisor" type website for airlineshttp://www.airlinequality.com/
  • My daughter and her boyfriend travelled on one of the chinese airlines as it was cheaper than other options available at the time. They didn't find the crew as helpful as other airlines and didn't enjoy the food either. They also found the transfer in a chinese airport where the signs/announcements were in another language quite stressful.

I've used Singapore airlines and was very impressed and I know of friens that have flown with emirates and rated them quite highly.

In the end you pays your money and makes your choice. It can be a very long 24 hours if you are not comfortable, but if you haven't got the money or would rather have it to spend when you get there these are also factors to take into account.
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

Is China Southern flight actually them, or it is KLM under a codeshare?

I ask because we have been pricing flights from UK to Phillipines for a wedding and the China Southern flights were actually KLM.

For the prices quoted I would choose Malaysian. Excellent airline, KUL is a fantastic airport and now that they are part of One World you can collect Avios too.

It may be £100 more but in terms of a more comfortable flight and connection experience I would say that it is worth it. If you are going to be spending 48 hours with them for the return trip it works out at around £2 extra per hour.

yeah i wold go with MAS as well. I don't really fancy china airlines and Singapore Airlines, though great is a bit more on the expensive side. but if pricing is really important then you have to weigh how far are you willing to forgo comfort over price

Singapore and Emirates weren't the options!

Travelled on Malaysia Airways. And I regularly travel on Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways. Both Thai and Singapore have won awards for their service and offer incredible value for money to Oz.

    Looked again at flights today
    China 457
    Malaysia 490
    Cathay 613
    Singapore 642
I think for the extra £33 will look at the Malaysia flight, just waiting for his passport to come back, hope the price don't change much.
