Where is doing good deals on fresh herbs you can grow?

Sorry if in wrong place or posted already!?

I want to start growing my own as i have a deep windowsill in the kitchen and hopefully it will be a good spec.

I'm a novice too, so any good tips would be appreciated.

TIA

I've seen really healthy looking plants in large ceramic pots in Aldi for a few quid.

  • For the last few years Aldi have done a Special Buy in the Spring of a tub of assorted herbs. I have had them a few times, the selection usually consists of Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, Coriander and Oregano. I am awaiting it coming up again any time soon!

Sometimes local greenhouses will have a good selection and prices on herbs. I have grown herbs well in a little herb garden. Good luck with your herbs.

Cheers all, i have just checked the Bag £1 bargains down the left hand side, and discovered Park Promotions seeds deal for £1.99, which offers eleven herbs and four vegetables i think. So going to have a pop at those!

I was surprised to see that the herbs and plants in Homebase were at least as good as the local garden centres, but cheaper. I guess they have buying power.
