Why are buyers so impatient!
A simple email would have been enough - this buyer has opened an INR case for an item posted 2nd class last Tuesday!
Guess I should refund asap and hope buyer does not hurt account as well!

They can't email you now though, if they go to ask where is my item it automatically opens a case0

Have refunded. I get lots of INR but this is the first time someone has opened a case!0

According to Royal Mail, it's 15 working days before an item is classed as lost.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

And that isn't relevant to the buyer.0 -
8 days before they can escalate. With all the snow, I'd have asked them to wait a while.0

I figured that if a buyer opened a case without contacting me first the best thing would be just to refund and move on.
It's a bit OTT to open a case so quickly!0 -
The new process for sending messages to sellers on either 'where is my item' or 'my item is different to that described' now automatically open a case where the seller has 8 days to resolve. Well, actually they say 8 days but it's 3 to respond and 7 to resolve.
Most buyers don't even realise their 'question' has led to a case being opened. Most cases don't even have the full info in (we are told this is a glitch to be soon sorted).0 -
alx2013, like we're trying to tell you, the system now automatically opens a case if someone asks for an update.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

It should be if they use mail order or shop online. It's not a figure just plucked out of their ****'s.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -
I recently tried to send a message informing a seller that I hadn't got my item after 2 weeks and asking them to look into it for me. I have done this a couple of times in the past with no problem.
An hour later I had a reply saying there was no need to open a case, I could have just asked for a refund and they didn't need the stress as they were pensioners.
I replied that I had just tried to ask a question and didnt realise I'd opened a case but the seller obviously didnt believe me and got quite snotty.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
