We used Autoreisen, based on recommendations on here. We just wanted a car for a couple of days to go up the mountain and maybe have another trip out or two, so booked the car from Las Americas rather than the airport for the whole week. The car was actually to be picked up from another company, not Autoreisen, although we did book through Autoreisen.

Bizarrely it was cheaper to book for 3 days rather than two, and yes it was very cheap.

However, it was the worst quality hire car we had ever had, out of dozens.

Several years old and very dented (not a problem - rather have a scruffy car than worry about being charged for scratches on a pristine one) but the brakes/suspension and clutch all seemed 'dodgy' and I wouldn't have been surprised if it had broken down, which luckily it didn't.

Yes, we should have complained, but we are both very optimistic, hope for the best type of people.

    Hi Murielson,

Sorry to be a little late in responding to your enquiry but I'll leave this information here in case you need it for the future! I work with a company called clicktransfers.com and we can offer you punctual airport transfers at competitive prices from a number of locations including Tenerife.

    Happy holidaying!

  • Autreisen are by far the best car hire company on the island, absolutely no hidden costs.

Totally agree, cheapest especially if you want an automatic
  • You can easily get from the airport to your hotel or some other place using the online taxi service Kiwitaxi you can check all the prices online and make the online book, I think it's will be useful for you. Good luck.
