SON STEALING - Advice please

Thank you for everyone who took the time & trouble to help me on this one. We sat down last night, calmly and he did admit to taking it. I asked him why... peer pressure, unhappy about something, bullying etc. etc. I don't know if his answer wanted to make me laugh or cry..... Apparently it was because he felt he had helped around the house over the last couple of weeks and I hadn't thanked him for it!!! In a way, I'm glad its not peer pressure, we did cover it and he seems confident enough that he can handle any problems he may encounter at school, but he just felt angry with me and that's why he stole the money! We talked for ages and I told him he must discuss things with me, if he genuinely felt !!!!ed off with me he should have said. I have instilled the fact that stealing is simply never tolerated now or when he grows up and I hope we've nipped it in the bud now.
Result - £10 back, no tv and no computer til Friday and a happier home!0 -

I am sure he won't do it again and will come to you and talk in future
