Right for returning a sealed sim only from 3?
I got this last Wednesday but same day heard of a better deal online with cashback so went for that and so kept the sim sealed and went in to return today and the guy said I have no rights to return it as there is signal in my area..
I was told when signing up I could change my mind.
This was an in store deal not online so I wont have DSR's to help me.

if its a 30 day give notice, but they are right if they have signalDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

hmm, it's a tough one. Because you bought it in store there is no returns policy if you change your mind (or find a better deal). To be honest it hasn't been used so usually most networks would do a gesture of goodwill and accept the return within the first 7 days.
But they can refuse the return if signal is fine/no issue. It's only if you have coverage issues. As far as i'm aware Three only offer an exchange policy so they have every right to refusethe return.
What exactly where you told? That you could return it? or that you could exchange it? Or return it if coverage was poor.
If the first one then you could try kicking up a fuss. But if you were given correct information then it's a tough one because tbh you can't return it.
Like Chanz says above, was it 30 day or 12 months? Because it might still work out a good deal to just give 30 days notice.0 -
Was this a contract or PAYG? Afraid you cannot expect any rights to return if the retailer refuses to accept under goodwill.
You may have missed the boat on this, as your decision to purchase cannot be retrospectively rescinded. Can you find the staff member that OKd the possible return?0 -

What exactly did they say about changing your mind? That you could change your mind in x days and return for any reason?
If the sales person actually said this, in theory they have to honour it.
But since it was verbal, there is an issue of how to prove it.
Unfortunately sales people get commissions, and sometimes say things that are incorrect or misleading just to clinch the sale.
You may just have to accept that they misled you about returns, but you will have trouble providing it.
Next time get it in writing.0
