I was in the same position about a month ago. I'm also a temp so the accrual of holiday pay during ML & keeping the job open do not necessarily apply.

I ended up telling my boss after worrying about it for WEEKS thinking he was going to sack me (/say the business doesn't need me any more). I took a horrible phone call and walked away from my desk to calm down and he came and found me to check I was okay. I just came out and told him - he said congratulations, checked with his boss and confirmed that nothing would happen between now and my ML starting - which I now have in writing.

It's a scary, scary thing - especially as a temp. But if they guess that you're pregnant they could let you go without reprisal. If you tell them you're pregnant they'll be less likely to let you go just incase!
