Doesn't matter - if you clamp a car on private land then you've committed a criminal offence. Is your parking spot really worth getting a criminal record for ?

why would i get a criminal record, I've never clamped anyone or have any intention to?

edited to add my other posts might seem to be i'm to clamp, but i'm not, just a company did previously but when it changed last year obviously not anymore.

You wrote "I was thinking along the lines of clamping in the communual areas which block mine and other cars getting in and out."

You probably meant clamping to be a noun but could be read as a verb. :)

I did yes, which was a response to:

"You certainly would not want a car that's in your bay to be clamped and stuck there longer there would you, that would be daft?! Your car would fall victim as well, BTW. And of course clamping has been made criminal - about time too. :D"

has been misread, i was probably being lazy in my typing/replying.
