I've spoken to the bank and there's nothing much they can do.

Yes there is, tell them you did not authorise the payment and you want it charged back, do not let them fob you off.
If you didn't authorise it, it's fraud.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
  • I've been trying to report this to the authorities but am getting the run around from them they are aware of this scam as many people have been reporting it. I have been trying to get a reply from space systems sent them a letter registered but the address on their website and with company house is just that an address. 6 weeks and they said they hadn't got my letter then they asked me to email it to them but 5 emails later they couldn't open it and they wouldn't give me an address that wasn't a post office box, Information Commissioner will not do anything until you have tried to converse with these low lives. I did get a phone call from Philip Mason himself he tried to say they were winding up Free Time Club well that isn't true is it when they are still taking money from people. So when I was told that Space Systems had nothing to do with Free Time it was a lie as they are running this and if it has Dunmow GB on your bank statement then it isn't in Spain which is what they tell you. Philip Mason has a long history of these scams they have gone under Free and Easy Life Style, Free and Easy, Break4Free,and as he said they are winding down it's latest name it will reappear as another scam soon. There have been customers who have had money taken from them months and in some cases years after they have asked to be taken off their system so I will be checking my account. Philip Mason phoned me from this number and when I searched it ,it came up with information on him and his scams. The number is 07799267229 phone him and demand your money back.

The same thing happened to me in the summer of 2012, same companies.
It still makes me angry to see the TV adverts for Spacebag....
  • Just received from Rewarding Discoveries dated 25 Nov 2015 the brochure that I did not order, it has the SPACE SYSTEMS logo in the letter head. It states it will charge me £99.99. Both telephone numbers are
Spanish. I will now have to go through what previous post on this forum have had to put up with.

    399.99

    Buyspacesytems and Rewarding Discoveries

This is a copy of e-mail I have sent to customerservices@buyspacesystem.co.uk
    Dear sirs,

    3 Dec 2015

I have today received from "Rewarding Discoveries" a brochure with letter bearing your logo, stating "Following your recent Spacebag purchase, we are pleased to confirm your 30-day free trial in our Rewarding Discoveries program".
The letter goes on further, to state that I will be charged £99.99 at the end of the 30-day trail.

Please be advised that I did not give you any authorization to charge my credit card for this further product. It was not clear from your literature/on-line advert and TV advert, that buying a product from you would include me in a further business transaction.

I would therefore insist that you contact Rewarding Discoveries (you will have I am sure a quick method of contacting them) informing them that their product and or services
are not required by myself and that they are not authorized to debit my credit card.

    In response to the above
JUST HAD A REPLY FROM MAILER-DAEMON@yaho.com
"Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address."
  • Hi Ken P sorry not to post sooner but internet down for two weeks. Try phoning their land line but they have been under investigation by BBC and have been contacted by them so they may be trying to lie low.BBC have been in contact with the channels they advertise on and with trading standards. If you do get in touch with them I would still check your card statements for a considerable time as they keep your details so they can charge you at a later date..I warn everyone I can not to deal with them. Hope you get it sorted soon
  • Thank You stroppy mare.
I went to Citizens Advice Bureau yesterday morning, and between us we made contact on the phone number
supplied on their brochure and got the membership cancelled and that my credit card would not be charged. CAB was most interested in their letter and took photocopy for further investigation. I will of course keep an eye out on my credit card statement.
Thanks to everybody for all the previous info and to those who are still having problems, I wish you luck.
    KEN p
