My bottles of Smile mouthwash came on Friday. Unfortunately, I tried it and really did not like the taste at all so there was no way I was going to be able to use the 22 bottles I had bought. None of my family or friends needed/wanted it and we don't have anywhere close by who I could donate it to.

As I hate to waste things and won't pour things away just for the sake of it, and after a lot of arguing with myself decided that with the amount of Boots stuff I have hidden in my drawers and under my bed I had had my fair share of points and glitches and I'm sure more will come along soon - I thought I would take them back for a refund and just forego the points this time!!

Anyway, I took them back to the shop but being a bit embarassed about acutally admitting I bought them for the extra points I "explained!!!" how I had bought a few gift sets and aftershaves that were all reduced and decided to add 2 mouthwashes to get delivered at the same time. Unfortunately my keyboard must have been a bit "sticky" and it actually ordered 22. I explained away the difference in cost by the fact that the reduced items appear in the shopping basket at full price before showing them reduced which meant I didn't twig that the final balance was more than I was expecting.

The lovely Sales Assistant thought it was hilarious and kept bursting into fits of giggles at the thought of me opening my parcel only expecting to find two bottles of mouthwash and finding bottle after bottle after bottle.

I must have made her day and she was laughing so much that she forgot to ask me for my advantage card (even though I was holding it in my hand) so guess who was laughing at the end!!!

I got my refund of £19.80 (I decided to keep two bottles so that my "mistake" looked more realistic) and got to keep the extra £40.00 worth of points. :D

Does anyone know whether 200 points extra for £20 O2 top-up is still available?

    Thanks.

Anic - you were brave to take those mouthwashes back!! Havent tried the smile stuff yet... or the basic stuff. At least I'll have a load of toilet cleaner if I don't like it!:rotfl:

I really didn't like it but there again I don't like most mouth washes - the only one I will use is Dentyl.

The worst bit about taking them back was carrying the bags the ten minute walk to the bus stop only to discover my purse and bus card were in my other bag so I had to trail all the way back up the road with them and back down again.

Never mind the points on the fitness equipment - just carry bottles of mouthwash instead!!

    Hi

Just wondered if anyone has had their points???
My order now says no points for any of the excercise equipment instead of 500 per item and I wondered if anyone else had had problems???:confused:

Shame really but wondered what had happened to everyone else???
First post hope its ok - I phoned up yesterday as I had no points for exercise wrist weights and was told they would phone me back today after speaking to a business manager, he phoned back after I phoned again and told me "UNFORTUNATELY" they would credit me with the 3000 points I was due - Unfortunate for who??:D

Also there are no smoking gold boxes in SCOTLAND but the vouchers for the teeth whitening kits at £2.15 are in booklets for stop smoking in all Boots

Did anyone get an exercise ball that they might swap for the exercise bands or a yoga mat? Mine disappeared off my order and was actually the only thing I wanted!!

I've never seen one in Woking. Staines just puts it reduced items on the shelves with the full price stock so you really have to hunt around for the bargains. They don't like making it too easy for us do they? ;-)
Occasionally in Woking they have clearance stuff on the ends of the aisles (randomly) - there is a bit of suncream/tanning stuff at the end of that bit, near the opticians.

Get plenty of stop smoking boxes if you have them there, the rapid white brush on gel in there's £2.15 when the voucher is swiped, £12.99 otherwise. (and the garnier skincare sample in them's lovely)

The Essential Aromatherapy gift goes through free without purchase and also some ppl have reported getting a vouher for points on toni&guy from the acm and its working on minitures. Some ppl got 100pts others got 200. I think to get the EA box you have to get voucher out the acm (could someone clarify plz)

Also on post 1 there i a potential no 17 glitch you may want to look at.
