As this thread is so long it would be helpful if any glitches or really good deals are emailed to findingmyownway so that they can be put on post 1. someone wrote some pages ago about an offer/glitch with the 750 points on 2 skin care purchases through the baby club but i cant find it as there are so many pages to go through.
does anyone know the answer to this please:rolleyes:IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0 -
Just a quick question. I bought 4 of the Jemma Kidd files to get my 1000 points, and they've been sat here ever since. I've got no use for them, but I don't have my receipt anymore. Still possible to return them?Mother, wife, scientist, analyst.

Do we have to return mouthwashes gym equipment etc?
No we don't have to return them but I will return gym equipment as it's not a very good deal if i DON'T GET THE 500 POINTS! whoops excuse capitals!
The thing is I ordered quite a few bits and some were well over £5 so I wasn't getting them all free but never mind!!0 -
carole.uk -From the parenting pre 28 weeks booklet you get a voucher for 750 points when you buy any combination of makeup/skincare from premium beauty brands such as eleizabeth arden, clinique, lancome, clarins estee lauder, chanel &dior. This has to be manually added each time as it doesn't work automatically. With the 1200 points promo on clinique recently it was possible to get back 1200promotional + 750 from this voucher plus the usual extra points from the ac machine which was a fab offer but you have to make sure the sa is willing to manually overide for you(most do some don't) otherwise ring customer services.Elizabeth arden had a reduced basket this week and i managed to get a lipgloss reduced to £2 and a bronzer at £8 , used this voucher plus 100 points from ac machine therefore got back most of the money i had spent. It's valid till spetember so worth ahnging on to if you have any for the next bonus time offer.hthLove can tame the wildest0

Do we have to return mouthwashes gym equipment etc?
My bottles of Smile mouthwash came on Friday. Unfortunately, I tried it and really did not like the taste at all so there was no way I was going to be able to use the 22 bottles I had bought. None of my family or friends needed/wanted it and we don't have anywhere close by who I could donate it to.
As I hate to waste things and won't pour things away just for the sake of it, and after a lot of arguing with myself decided that with the amount of Boots stuff I have hidden in my drawers and under my bed I had had my fair share of points and glitches and I'm sure more will come along soon - I thought I would take them back for a refund and just forego the points this time!!
Anyway, I took them back to the shop but being a bit embarassed about acutally admitting I bought them for the extra points I "explained!!!" how I had bought a few gift sets and aftershaves that were all reduced and decided to add 2 mouthwashes to get delivered at the same time. Unfortunately my keyboard must have been a bit "sticky" and it actually ordered 22. I explained away the difference in cost by the fact that the reduced items appear in the shopping basket at full price before showing them reduced which meant I didn't twig that the final balance was more than I was expecting.
The lovely Sales Assistant thought it was hilarious and kept bursting into fits of giggles at the thought of me opening my parcel only expecting to find two bottles of mouthwash and finding bottle after bottle after bottle.
I must have made her day and she was laughing so much that she forgot to ask me for my advantage card (even though I was holding it in my hand) so guess who was laughing at the end!!!
I got my refund of £19.80 (I decided to keep two bottles so that my "mistake" looked more realistic) and got to keep the extra £40.00 worth of points.0 -
Just to let you know, I used the voucher from the ACM for Toni & Guy points against several of the new range trial/travel size shampoos and conditioners sucessfully today - they're currently on offer at £1.12 down from £1.69 - I only got 100points from ACM, but used hubbies card and got 200points.0

Anic - you were brave to take those mouthwashes back!! Havent tried the smile stuff yet... or the basic stuff. At least I'll have a load of toilet cleaner if I don't like it!:rotfl:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120

Bargains in Boots (Queens Road, Bristol)!
Hi, went to Boots there (near Sainsbury's, Border, Karen Millen). I found loads of reduced items, some on the normal shelves and some on the reduced shelf (opposite the sanitary shelf).
Just quoted some to you:
Buy 1 get 1 free for Natural Collection and all items on the shelf are half price. I got 2 items reduced from £1.98 to £0.99 and paid only £0.99 by my points (as they were buy 1 get 1 free).
Many EA items are reduced half price including Blissful set from £5 to £2.50.
Naked items are on sale too (some are half-price, some aren't).
Loads of lipsticks and nail polish are reduced in the reduced shelf.
BaByliss WhisperJet Travel 2000W is reduced from £14.99 to £9.99. I bought this item last three weeks. Totally like it. I saw this in Broadmead for £14.99 last Sunday. http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1034528&classificationid=1018555
Oral-B Vitality Electric Toothbrushes (different styles) all are reduced fom £24.99 to £12.49 http://www.boots.com/guidedsearch/newsearch.jsp?searchArea=1&searchTerm=oral+b+vitality&uri=%2Fshop%2Fproduct_details.jsp&classificationId=1018555&contentId=&articleId=&N=0&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Go.x=0&Go.y=0
Loads of mouthwash, toothpastes and toothbrushes (kids & adults) are on sale on the reduced shelf.
HTH.
All SAs here are nice. However, I was served by store manager once. And she would not let me use many vouchers as I could do with other SAs. So just choose normal SAs to serve you. However, as this is a small store, you might not be able to choose the SAs. For me, if I can't find the right one, I will leave the shop and come back later (I walk pass it more than 4 times per week).0
