Agreed with John Freda serum. I stocked them up last Jan or Feb (not sure) when I got £3 off haircare voucher from Boots. A bottle lasts long, nice result. Even worth to spend my money on it. BTW, I use Aussie shampoo and conditioner most of the time, sometimes changing to trevor serbie. But always with John Freda serum. Put few drops directly after washing, before using your towel (got this suggestion from my hairdresser).
TOTALLY agree with you here I MUST use john freida serum.I find it reduced every now & again to £3 in some of the boots stores so always buy it up( I think its if they have to much stock they reduce it - in my area I have found east kilbride ,hamilton retail park & glasgow fort have reduced it in the past ) .I would never dream of not using it on my hair.I have tried all the expensive alternatives- aveda, kerastase, tig, mop but none are as good as john freida. I have 5 reduced bottles in my cupboard and supply it gratious to my curly pal as she refuses to buy beauty products.I buy enough for both of us .lol !
I use coconut oil, kerastase satin bath, john frieda serum & tigi curls rock.IAnd a heat protection spray if im styiling -nicky clarke or lee stanford.

I dont really want another straightner and have now decided if i can find a cheap tong that is just as good then why spend £100 or whatever on a ghd!! but if i can find one is a diff question!
I also think the ghds are far to tricky for curling hair and take to long.I have seen a few hairdressers struggling using them so dont fancy them myself .Tongs are cheap & quick.Boots has some from £10 that are ceramic. The ones you pointed out IAMBROKE are nice. You never know boots might bring back their electrical vouchers again- I might up date on mine as well then.

I returned something today, that I had ordered online in the sale, all I took was the refund note and they did the rest.

Btw I didn't realise til later that they gave me the full price back rather than the sale price and she didn't remove any points either

    Thanks I'll try on saturday

Edit: the thanks button isnt working so i will try tomorrow

Best thing might be to read one of the Which reports (libraries usually have them available to browse through) I was looking at GHD, but was shocked at the price (a true MSE-er!) Anyway, the Vidal Sassoon ones came out as one of their best buys, ease of use, reliability, effectiveness etc and they're a fraction of the price of GHD.

Clever marketing has allowed GHD to charge what they like and people buy it because it's expensive so think it must be the best - what a con!

ok my boots babes...i am having no luck asking this question in other places so i thought i would turn to my "family" and ask!!

my hair is straightish/frizzyish and i can never get my curls to stay in as as soon as i step out my hair goes straight and frizzy unless i use a whole can of hairspray but then i just look like a moose!!

so can anyone recommend a good pair of curling tongs....? i have the wide ghd hair straightners so cant use them for curling but would appreciate other recomendations....thanks guys mmmmwwwaaaaaahhhhhh xxxx

hi, i trained as a hairdresser and have very straight hair myself, very difficult to get curls to stay in, you should avoid doing the curling straight after washing your hair as the hair is too soft then especially if you have conditioned as well, also there are a lot of products on the market that you can spray into your hair before curling it up to hold the curl. as for any frizz, years ago when i used to have perms:eek: i would swear by the frizz ease serum, but it only works best if you use the tiniest amount rubbed into your hands and then smoothed lightly through your hair, for individual curls i would use a light wax.hth:)

A qiuck Q, starting my new skincare today, can I put p&p around the eye area and is the uplifting day cream a moisturiser or do I to get a moisturiser to go on top? Also can the uplifting day cream be used around the eye area?

I have been reading the info on the boxes but can't find answers, thanks everyone, last exam today.
