Anyone know a good place to get cheap heat logs ? They are just for a fire pit so outside use only.

That depends how many you want.
Your local free ads paper will probably have loads of people selling firewood. A typical load is about 1 cubic metre loose filled, but varies between suppliers. It's a lot cheaper buying in bulk that buying single bags from a garden centre or petrol station. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
The heat logs are quite popular for firepits as people know they won't have any trouble getting them going and they won't be covering the neighbourhood and their guests with a pall of thick smoke! I've been on campsites that look like some kind of refugee camp in the evening when all the visitors start trying to light the wet logs they got from the campsite shop!
We don't sell cheap ones though - we sell good ones! ;-)0
