Thomas Cook Compensation

Hi Folks
Just wanted to let people know that it certainly is worth the effort to make a claim. Many thanks to Martins Money Tips and the template I used to write to Thomas Cook. I received a voucher (with conditions) for the sum of £2880!(there were 6 of us). When I stated to them that compensation must be paid in cash, unless the customer (me) had agreed and signed for a voucher, they then sent me a cheque to replace the voucher.
So have faith and determination people and quote Regulation 261. My holiday was delayed 10hrs out and 23 1/2 hours back in 2010. I am still fighting for the return journey so watch this space.
Martin did question whether we should claim or not and I did have my doubts but when I found out that airlines compensate tour operators for delayed flights, then that money belongs to the people who are held up - not the operator.
Good luck people!

Hi.
Thats great to hear your success. Could you direct me in the best form of contact. I sent TC a letter on 31st January and i havnt even recieved an acknowledgment. Which address did you use?
Thanks0 -
Hi I also received a voucher from TC for 2 of us delayed in January 2009 for £1090, rang customer services and rejected the voucher asking for money instead, they agreed straight away and I now have a cheque for £1090, no conditions and can use for absolutely anything. I bet the OP would prefer cash0

I filed a compensation clim back in November 2012 and since then e-mails back and forth sticking to my guns. Thomas Cook flight was delayed 3hours and 59 minutes to Orlando due to a technical fault with a tannoy in one of the planes toilets. Just last week March 2013 TC finally said NO WAY, NO CLAIM and they have closed the complaint. I think I will still pursue. If anyone has had success with a similar claim. let me know please!!0

Hi
I was on flight TCX 635 from Sanford to Glasgow on 24th June 12. We were delayed awaiting arrival from the incoming aircraft from Glasgow which you were on. We were delayed in Sanford around 4 hours. I have sent TC a letter requesting compensation. As soon as I have a reply I will let you know.0
