Depends if on what type of broadband you can get in your area.
If you can only get ADSL broadband, I'd say plusnet.
If you can BT's FTTC in your area, go for Fibre with plusnet.
If you are in a Virgin Cable area, and don't want to pay line rental. Go for Virgin.
If you are not sure what you can get, check here, and post the results here.

The following services are available in your location:
BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
BT Wholesale WBC (21CN)
BT Wholesale SDSL
BT FTTC
AOL LLU
O2 / Be LLU
Bulldog LLU
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Tiscali LLU
Virgin Media (Cable)
Don't need a phone line but if the package works out cheaper with one, no biggie. Talk talk line rental up front plus £6.50 a month bb is cheapest but apparently customer service is terrible.0 -
Sky is the obvious choice for unlimited ADSL broadband on your exchange, since it's available LLU. Why would you consider TT instead? Or sign up with 02, take the 12m free with the mobile credit and then you'll be transferred to Sky anyway, once the sale goes through.
You can't have any ADSL service without paying line rental. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Considering talk talk because the line rental is £9.50/month, bb free for 3 months then 6.50 so works out rather cheap. Unlimited, too.0 -
TT is cheap for a reason. As you'll find out should you get any technical issues or billing issues. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Ive had talk talk broadband for 6 months i got it half price for 12 months,i paid line rental up front and also got £50 store vouchers ,never had any problems with it,i switched from sky as it was cheaper0 -
Talk Talk should be better than they were! As they have since purchased AOL who were once the largest provider in the UK, when it was the old 56k modem.
Considering every company pays the same for line rental and the same for what's going on the network, the cheaper it is the slower it can be.
It depends on what you use it for, if your a heavy user then I would avoid at all costs.0
