Has anyone had any issues with their debit card being declined? I have phoned the customer service line and they have informed me there is a problem across the UK and they recommend that you do not use your debit card as it is most probably going to be declined.

Looks like it could be visa issue. RBS are having problems too https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4514279MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

Yes, RBS/Natwest cards seem to be having issues. Those cards begin 4751 xx.
Funnily enough, FlexDirect and FlexPlus cards also start 4751 xx - I wonder if FlexAccount cards ( 4543 xx) are ok?
.... and if they are OK it begs the question, why are Nationwide using Natwest/RBS issued cards for their new accounts?I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
I spent £2 on my FlexAccount this morning.
I have a FlexDirect account as well, but never intend to use it.0 -

The BIN is the first 6 digits, not the first 4. Unless they are the same, they are not using the same Visa bin.0
