non receipt of goods - sports direct

Hi All,
Just wondered if anyone here could help on this one...
I placed an order online with sports direct on the 4th of December 2012, they sent an email saying the item was dispatched & gave me a YODEL tracking number. To this day the reference to that tracking number is ' still @ leeds-yodel depot awaiting delivery'.
I have been emailing sports direct ever since 15/12/12. I did receive 1 very brief email from sportsdirect on 03/01/13 saying they were looking into it, but never heard anything since.
I must have sent 15-20 emails in total, as well as writing to them early last month but still heard nothing!!
The problem with their customer services is that they can only be contacted via email or post, there is no contact phone number for them at all.
I have found a thread on here that lists some possible contact numbers, but i only have a mobile phone & they are all premium rate numbers.
The order was only for a total of £32.00, which i'm not too bothered about, what is annoying me to the core is that they are getting away with this & making a mug out of me!!
So my questions are:
Has anyone else experienced this trouble with sportsdirect?
Does anyone have any suggestions how i could progress?
Many thanks in advance,
Darren.

Don't waste any more time trying to get Sports Direct to do the right thing.
Get onto your card issuer and instigate a chargeback.

Thanks for the reply....1 important thing i forgot to mention.
I did the transaction it through my paypal, i did open up a case with paypal but because they could see proof that the goods were dispatched they simply closed the case.
Could i still go through my bank as the payment was taken from my personal account by paypal?0 -

OP for future reference, if there are national rate numbers and you're calling from a mobile.....visit that site and put the number in, they have alternative landline numbers for many of the national rate numbers.
Not sure if you can reopen a dispute in paypal once time limit has passed if you originally disputed it within the time limit.
OP might be worth writing a Letter Before Action to the retailer giving them 14 days to either complete the transaction or issue a refund. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Have you tried contacting YODEL at all to ask them why they have not delivered?0

Hi all,
No I've not tried contacting yodel.... I really dislike them as a courier service. I own my own business & refuse to use them for any of my services. I have had several things 'not arrive' when yodel has been involved, but in them circumstances the seller of the product has always resolved the problem.
In business i send out lots of products via city link, every now and again things have gone wrong (as with every courier service), but when that happens my customer will call me to resolve the issue, which is what I'd expect them to do. .....so why cant sportsdirect do the same???
As you can probably guess i don't want the item now, just a refund. The goods were for a Xmas present, so won't be much use now... I ended up having to go out to town just before Xmas & buy something else for a relative.....
I'm going to have another go @ Paypal, but I'm pretty sure that once a case has been closed, it cannot be re-opened. But they really didn't ask for my side of the story, they just saw that the case was for 'non receipt of goods' & they saw a tracking number that referred to me - so that was it, case closed!!
Thanks for the link also, i will have a gander @ that later.
Thanks
