Okay well i guess this was the wrong place to ask.
I am setting up my own freelance animation business, but as that'll take at least a month to generate any income i was curious to see if there was any other way to have some income until then.
It's such a shame that people seem to feel they need to reply with such sarcastic notes, but hey sorry if i sounded like a stereotypical 'student', i'd have thought people may have been a bit less judgemental and a bit more mature. I am working my !!! off the entire time to get out of my student debt but whatever.
Thanks anyway!
If you are working so hard to pay off your student debt then why are you seemingly so determined to get into more debt? I think most points here have been very valid - sorry if it wasn't what you wanted to hear but its often the case of the best advice isn't what you want to hear.0 -
There's the possibility of Housing Benefit for help with rent. (At the same time you can claim Council Tax Benefit since you'll lose the automatic student exemption.)0

If you're starting a business, look into funding from your local enterprise agency or PSYBT. Depending on where you are, get in touch with Business Gateway or Business Link about it. If you're in Scotland Business Gateway have startup grants of £1000 (not sure about other parts of the country), and PSYBT do "soft" loans of up to £5000 and grants in some circumstances. Paying the bills is a common problem for people going into self employment so I'm sure you'll be able to get some more constructive advice than you've had on here so far.
You might be eligible for working tax credits too.0
