I last went into a Natwest branch about 10 years ago about upgrading my account one a cold, wet Friday afternoon.
The member of staff I spoke to took me into a room, sat down at a PC and began to ask me questions she was reading off the screen and then clicked Submit and the answer came back, yes.
As has been said, no bank managers these days, just a rack full of servers powered by Intel processors that probably run Linux rather than Windows.

When you get through to one of the foreign call centres ask to be transferred to the 'customer response team'
