Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

Amazing how everyone just glazes over the criminal side of bitcoins. The mind boggles.

It's also amazing how people don't just "glaze over" but totally forget altogether about the criminal side of cash.

There is nothing, in essence, criminal about Bitcoin.

Yes, the price is double where it was 2 weeks ago and the price is up 300% over 3 months ago.

BTC-E and a few other smaller exchanges.

That's not true. There was a fear amongst the Bitcoin userbase that the price of BTC was being propped up by the usage of Silkroad. When Silkroad was shut down the price did drop temporarily because a lot of people paniced and expected a crash, however there was not a crash and the price recovered from the panic selling days later.

Silkroad was just one of many market places that permitted the sale of drugs, when Silkroad shut down that did not end the ability to purchase drugs with Bitcoin, it just meant that people had to move to different market places. Think of Silkroad like ebay, it was the biggest and most "mainstream" but it certainly wasn't the only one... if you can't use ebay you'll go to craigslist or gumtree or...

There are new market places coming online every day that aim to replace Silkroad, but Silkroad is not "back" (and it probably never will be as the founder is in jail and is going to spend a long time there...).

Writing off BTC as just a currency for drugs is nonsensical, fiat currencies (GBP, USD) have a far greater involvement in drugs (the UK cannabis market alone is worth over a billion GBP every year) and a common misconception: Bitcoin is not anonymous, it provides no better ability to buy drugs than GBP.

"Silk Road 2" is back though and it's interesting to note that the administator is called "dread pirate roberts" - the same name used by the founder of the original site who has been arrested.

(The name "dead pirate roberts" is a character from the film "The Princess Bride"; who turns out to be not one individual but a number of different people.
Life imitating art you could say)

If these are been publicized you can rest assured the rich are looking to bail out and get mugs to buy them at top dollar.
    Ask yourself one question.
Where was all this mainstream media hype when they were increasing in price daily.
As soon as they level at top book, they tell you, buy, buy, buy, they might go up again.
Like al Ponzi schemes where hold no actual collateral, you will lose your money, they are backed up by fresh air, just 0-1 on computers.

The true investors are looking for mugs to buy them out, hence why you are reading about them.
    Be happy...;)

Most dollar notes have cocaine on them, the amount of drug trades done in dollars probably far out weighs any alternative means of buying

    Exactly.

Where was (is) the mainstream hype when the price was (is) increasing daily?
