Beyond laughable really, if only they'd been working for HSBC.

The FBI are a really bad parody of themselves. They didn't get all the bitcoins they thought they'd stolen so they'll be out for revenge and all the asset forfeiture they can snatch of course on the back of a false war on some drugs.

Everyone knows who the real crooks are but of course when you're paying the gestapo's wages...

The NSA who has backdoors into eeryone computer could probably just wipe everyones bitcoins out in a second. Just transfer all of it onto the NSAs holding. !!!!!!!

There is a good chance Windows and Macs are backdoored by the NSA.
    However linux is less likely.
However the machine which holds my bitcoins is safe, as even if it has a backdoor, it is not connected to the internet, so no one ever gets a chance to see the data.

I encourage anyone with more than a few bitcoins to pick up a cheap laptop, install linux and run Bitcoin Armory in offline mode.
Its the first time I have felt that my Bitcoins are completely safe.

In short, you create a transaction on an internet connected machine that doesnt have the private keys. This transaction is put on a USB stick and the stick put into the offline machine with the private keys. The transaction is signed and written back to the USB stick. Then the stick is put back into the internet connected machine and broadcast to the bitcoin network. It only takes a minute once you know what you are doing.
  • So.........Did OP buy any? If so, outcome?
  • If he bought, he didnt keep them. Its the same reason most dont become silly rich with stocks, even if they do eventually do well; before then many failures come.

Maxcoin is the new kid on the block.... and is the place to be at the moment if you're into day-trading cryptocurrencies.

It was only a matter of time before Mad Max added his own new currency to the crypto supply. Even though each different currency is limited in supply there is no limit to the amount of new competing curries added to the supply.
