Hi all.
I plan to buy the refurb Lg chocolate KG800 from phones4u on Vodafone which should work out around £70 for the year after cashback and quidco.
I'm wondering that if i use the sim or at least port my own number onto the contract, not the phone but then return it under the 14 days to return where do I stand? (Do to finding a financially better deal).
So does porting my number onto it stop me returning the phone?
What would happen to my number?
Would/What would I be charged for?
Thanks
Vertical
PS I'm going to use this sim in an O2 XDA. Should I be aware of anything in terms of this and Vodafone?

Hi, from reading various threads on here, I don't believe you can port numbers to vodafone?..0

On the phones4u website it mentions that you have to take the phone and then phone vodafone to port the number taking upto a week. It does say that they can't port the number automatically on vodafone.
I hope that this is the case, I will phone tomorrow though to make sure.

When I joined with three I noticed in the welcome pack it stated that once any porting was completed the return period had then ended, may be the same with Voda?SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
Hi Vertical fool
Working for Vodafone, I can tell you it is possible to port your number over, but it has to be done when you take out the contract. Vodafone will not allow you to port a number in once your contract is started.
I can't speak for Phones 4U, but the way it works with Vodafone Direct is your contract begins on the day your number activates on our network, so the 14 day period will run from that point.
If you decided to cancel within the 14 day period, a PAC code can be issued to you to allow you to move your number again.0 -
