Blackberry showing errors
Options
My nieces Blackberry 9300 curve was showing error 507 but after I followed instructions online it is now showing error 561. Can anyone tell me how to get it working again or is it broke for good?
BTW she got the phone last year as it was purchased from O2 online and delivered about the 16th of April.

You can try this.
If it doesn't work for you you will have to use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to reinstall the OS. Hope you made a backup of her data.0 -

It is now showing error 507 again.
I will try your recommendation shortly but I am on a very slow netbook and a very slow broadband connection.
I don't think she has a backup.0 -
Thanks! It seems to have worked but I haven't rebooted it yet! What a way to spend my birthday?!?0

But if it worked at least it's a positive thing for your birthday.0

True! Her face was priceless. When I took it down to her last night I switched it off before I went into the house because I knew it would be beeping constantly with bbm, wotsap & text messages. As I handed it to her I told her that the screen wasn't lighting up where as before it at least showed an error message, she was disappointed and said that it probably just needs charged. I only tell white lies and she knows that so she doesn't even contemplate telling lies cause she knows the headache isn't worth it. As she had the phone in her hand while getting the charger out of the box I pressed the button to switch it on and her face lit up and she was shocked. It took her a few seconds to speak but she was delighted. The only problem was that she hadn't done a back up and therefore she has lost all her phone numbers but has kept her photos.
The first telephone number she looked for was mine, then my husband's - before her parents or siblings telephone numbers, I thought this spoke volumes especially considering I'd last heard from her at 4pm on Wednesday and by 9pm that night I reckoned her phone must have been broke because she doesn't go that long without getting in contact.
Thanks for your help, you've made my birthday and a twelve year old very happy! Thanks!:A
Must get ready as hubby & I are going out for dinner with my parents and a few friends and I did have three birthday cakes yesterday ( a girl can never have too much tea and cake!)
