Yeah they haven't blocked you completely just blocked you from seeing pics, updates etc.

You'll still show as friends.

Ah so they've just defriended you then. They obviously have their settings set to private so you can't send them a message unless you're friends

Just checked a Facebook group we are in. Can see the last message she has posted but unable to see profile picture or click on the name.

checked Facebook help: Block usersOnce you block someone, that person can no longer be your friend on Facebook or interact with you (except within apps and games you both use and groups you are both a member of).

So even blocked we should be able to interact in the group?

But you said you can search for the person. If you can find them in the search bar then they haven't blocked you.

Some people have the highest privacy setting meaning you can't even click on their profile to add them or send a message.

I think they've just been defriended you and they've got the settings I mentioned above.

Deactivate Facebook and move on with your life I did it years ago.
