Facebook issue

Went on to Facebook to send a 'friend' a message, says link broke or page may have been removed.

Tried the pals partner, says the same.

Typed their names in the search bar and they come up.

Have these two people blocked me? My partner can gain access to the friends partner page, partner not a friend.

I would have thought if they blocked me then their name and picture would not show up on the search bar.

Anybody able to provide an explanation.

If they'd have blocked you wouldn't have been able to search for them. They wouldn't have shown up at all

There could be multiple reasons you're getting this message; server issue Facebook's side, server issue ISP's side, DNS problem etc.

It is, however, unlikely that it is because they blocked you. If you're blocked on Facebook they wouldn't show up to you at all and Facebook would be unlikely to implement something so obvious.

Of course, if these are friends of yours, you could always give them a ring and ask?

Have you been trying for a while? Facebook goes on the blink sometimes, try again later.

Been trying from last night.

My partner was also friends and has the same problem. However my partner is able to see the friends partner page. I who was a friend is unable.

Just thought it strange that this issue affects them both, but not anybody else. They were using Facebook via contract phones, could this be an issue if the said contract being cut?

I have had this before, turned out the person had just deactivated their account for a while, hth

But my partner can get one of their pages up. I though this also, but then when my partner got one of their pages up I thought odd.

There's at least one page I know of that I can see on one account, but not my other. It's a company page too so they wouldn't have blocked me or anything like that. I have no idea why it's like that though (and it has been for months), just that it happens.

It also happened when I entered FB competitions-I'd often not be able to find the page or app, while others had no issues.

If you can't see the page but your partner can it means they've blocked you from seeing their updated page

As in you can block certain people from seeing your status updates, new pics, check ins etc. it's the only explanation I can think of if your partner can still see everything but you can't

Even though their name still appear is the search bar when I type their name? inc their profile picture
