Samsung GT-C3350 problem

Options
I have a Samsung GT-C3350 mobile which is said to be dust/waterproof which no doubt it is, however the screw which locks the back plate in position, is constantly working loose, so I need to tighten it every few days.

The phone is about 18 months old and was bought from a Vodafone store but I have recently had it unlocked and moved to orange.

Sounds like only solution is purchasing a replacement phone if its out of warranty

The screw is very loose and never stays in the lock position...
Saying that, the back cover is very tight without it locked anyway.

You post is great, in that there seems to be an underlying fault. If someone could direct me/us to an email address at Sumsung, maybe we could get replacements.

  • There doesn't seem to be any resistance on the screw, and never was...

I can turn it with my finger tip without even putting anything in the slot, has yours been like this from the very start or just started?

No, not from the start. I'd guess it was something that started after about six months. I noticed the phone sounded different when I placed it on a hard surface, I picked it up to look at it and discovered the screw loose. On one occasion the back plate eased itself off when in my pocket. Later today I will look for receipt to see how long I've had it.
