I have a Le Creuset frying pan. I never use it as i can't lift it without using two hands. Waste of money really although i didn't pay for it, it was a gift.
I had a whole le Creuset set of saucepans and had to get rid as they were so heavy. It was such a waste of money:(
I only use my small milk pan now and an individual size casserole dish.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Really? Why is that? I always clean my gridle pan
Op I bought my stuff from debenhams or tkmaxx sometimes the le creuset shop in Glasgow has good offers also0 -
Because the the patina of seasoned oil keeps it non-stick. For life. Plus, once you've got it properly oiled it will never rust.0

Whats a patina please?0

A permanent protective layer0

I heard that but it seems impossible to clean my griddle pan with just a wipe?:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

In which case I suspect that it hasn't been seasoned properly. If it's properly seasoned and therefore non-stick it would only need to be wiped with kitchen paper or similar. How did you season your griddle-pan when you got it home?0

A lot of Le Creuset pans have nonstick coatings now which don't need seasoning. However, the pans i have with the non stick coatings are now very difficult to clean as the coating has degraded and is peeling off. The coating isn't covered by the warranty either.0
